West Jordan, Utah manufacturing facility is seeking a dynamic manufacturing leader focused on production plan execution through KPIs and Goal Deployment. The successful individual will be able to lead production team from plan to build process, utilizing standard work while building quality into each assembly. This position will require collaboration with the supply chain and production scheduler to balance priorities, and labor to meet customer demands in a changing and flexible environment while maintaining compliance and quality. Understanding of continuous improvement methodologies such as lean, six sigma, and theory of constraints will be a key part of successfully reducing waste in

production. Key member of cross-functional teams that drive goal deployment through participation in

value stream mapping process and other lean initiatives. Driving team accountability through a Lean Daily Management process, and reporting out on metrics relative to target to Senior Management.

Essential Job Functions:

Lead Production Plan Execution for multiple lines in a high mix low volume environment.

Leadership of a highly skilled mechanical assembly process.

Oversee and implement EHS standards for chemicals and high voltage power.

Ability to communicate and drive for results through Metrics, KPI's, and countermeasures.

Create and manage work flow (work orders).

Utilize continuous improvement tools to reduce waste/costs.

Technical writing, produce status reports, and trending data. Effectively produce written documents such as technical reports or procedures/ work instructions when necessary.

Effectively produce verbal reports and presentations.

Active member of Quality Improvement Team, action items as assigned by Operations Manager.

Responsible for Training and Compliance of manufacturing teams.

Trend and track manufacturing performance.

Shared responsibility with other Leads of daily cycle counts for inventory transaction accuracy.

Mentor and train employees.


AA/AS Degree in applicable field desired.

5+ years experience in a manufacturing environment with progressive responsibility or leadership position.

Familiar with machining of plastics preferred.

Familiar with wiring and electronic assembly preferred

Experience with ERP Systems (preferrably Visual ERP).

Knowledge of Continuous Improvement Methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, TOC) preferred.

Experience working under ISO 9001 or QMS systems preferred.

Mechanical assembly skills.

Experience with electronics a plus. Experience with chemicals in a coating process a plus.
