This position has responsibility to lead Micropump’s Operations Team, providing exceptional internal and external service to customers through world-class manufacturing processes and building capabilities to create competitive advantage. The individual will be responsible for building trusting relationships and gaining credibility by engaging with employees. This individual will be expected to be an active and influential member of the Sr. Leadership Team.


  • Develops and implements the Operations Strategy to meet increasing volume requirements from growth while strengthening competitive position and meeting customer and shareholder needs.

  • Establishes a sustainable Continuous Improvement Culture utilizing formal Lean methodology resulting in sustainable processes, a highly engaged and empowered workforce, customer satisfaction through quality and on-time delivery, and targeted financial performance.

  • Develop an AA Operations Leadership Team (consistently meet or exceed performance targets and exemplify IDEX Values).

  • Focus on 80/20 to maintain core business and while supporting growth opportunity of Sales partners.


  • Leads the operations for Pump Component Manufacturing, Pump Assembly, Supply Chain Planning, Shipping & Receiving, Maintenance, Quality and Major Facilities Projects (e.g., plant layout changes, installation of capital equipment, major repairs, etc.).

  • Establishes strong and healthy professional relationships amongst teams.

  • Creates ownership and accountability in key processes and outcomes related to Micropump’s focused priorities.

  • Executes Micropump’s business priorities through team engagement, strategic planning, and continuous improvement utilizing Lean/Six Sigma methodologies and practices.


  • Understands the needs of the customer and develops solutions to solve employee and customer issues

  • Communicates effectively across the organization · Understands financial performance of the Operation’s team and the Micropump organization

  • Motivates people and teams through influential communication · Creates a positive learning environment for members of the operations team

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Engineering or Business or equivalent experience in a manufacturing organization; Master’s degree preferred

  • Six Sigma Black Belt and knowledge of Lean Manufacturing

  • In-depth knowledge and application of of 80/20 principles

  • 5+ years’ experience developing and leading teams

  • Demonstrated project management skills

  • Working knowledge of GD&T methodology

  • Demonstrated knowledge and competency in engineered plastics injection molding, metals machining and assembly operations

  • Demonstrated computer literacy especially working with Microsoft programs, database, MRP systems (JDE preferred).

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.


  • Lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally

  • Regularly works in an office and manufacturing setting

  • Frequently required to stand, sit, talk and hear
