A Deburring Technician is responsible for using a variety of tools to deburr and cosmetically finish machined parts in preparation for quality inspection and production use. Performs various machine shop functions such as preventative maintenance, and cutting material to size for CNC machining. Responsible for maintaining established performance standards while ensuring a safe and clean work environment. Friday - Sunday 6am - 6pm
Cleans, deburrs, and cosmetically finishes machined parts in preparation for final quality processing and shipment.
Reads and understands finishing requirements from routers, drawings, and specifications
Cleans, deburrs, and completes cosmetic finishing of machined parts utilizing burr knife, file, emery paper, countersink, cratex scotch-brite and other tools and supplies
Works under direct supervision on duties and tasks that are standardized, selecting from written instructions, and established procedures
Completes required documents and provides supervisor with accurate daily production data
May train and assists co-workers with determining best methods to achieve desired results in a timely manner
Works at different workstations to meet production requirements
Maintains tools and equipment in proper working order
Performs preventative maintenance
Maintains adequate supplies for finishing area
Perform other related duties as required or directed
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure including whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
Operates manual pallet jacks and motorized forklifts (Forklift Certified)
All other duties as assigned
Minimum of High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of 1 year of CNC Shop Experience
Able to interpret and understand messages conveyed and applies them as directed
Provides fact-based information to others as needed
Listens actively to others and acknowledges different perspectives
Delivers verbal information in a clear and concise manner
