Function: Operations



The Assembly Inspector provides quality control support by inspecting tools throughout the assembly process and by packaging tools, parts, etc. for transfer to the warehouse. The Assembly Inspector will work closely with the Quality department to ensure that all incoming product and outgoing finished goods meet required specifications through defined procedures, final inspections, training, etc.


Basic arithmetic knowledge (i.e.; addition, subtraction, multiplication and division) and ability to use basic numerical concepts (e.g., whole numbers, percentages) to complete job task

Understand the use of precision measuring devices such as micrometers, calipers and bore gages

Understanding of both English (Imperial/Inch) and Metric measurement systems

Ability to read and understand engineering blueprints/drawing specifications

Perform basic inspections to verify parts/finished good are to specifications (EOL, parts, etc)

Basic understanding of materials (steel vs aluminum) and manufacturing processes (turned vs milled)

Understand and follow quality procedures

Ability to examine connections and components for function & fit

Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations

Proficient in use of desktop computer software including Microsoft Office

Ability to learn the use of CMM and accompanying software
