SUMMARY
The Teardown Technician is responsible for the proper disassembly and dispositioning of product and components returned to Airtech as part of our refurbishment program.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Maintains a clean and safe workplace following 5s principles and methodologies.
Works with a team to disassemble entire products or components as defined in the applicable work instruction.
Rotates through tasks for specific production processes.
Conducts quality inspections on products and parts to determine their fit to be refurbished.
Prepare organize and sort broken down components for further processing.
Perform secondary operations as required that includes hand/ultrasonic cleaning and or sandblasting.
Removes and properly disposes of debris generated by the teardown process.
Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED or related experience and/or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience
Mechanically inclined with previous experience in a manufacturing environment or related field
QUALIFICATIONS
Familiar with assembly tools and equipment
Quality assurance experience a plus
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-focused environment
Must be 18 years of age or older
Must be authorized to work in the US

Noise level is minimal with intervals of spikes
Required to wear safety glasses and utilize other safety equipment as required while present on the production floor
