JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
IDEX Health & Science is looking for a talented and dynamic Supply Chain Director to join our great team. The Supply Chain Director is an integral operations partner providing leadership to help improve customer service levels (Fill Rate), working capital (Inventory Turns), achieve cost reduction (Sourcing savings). This role is responsible for driving business solutions and practices utilizing IDEX’s standard Order-to-Cash framework to develop a demand driven Supply Chain approach. The Supply Chain Director will organize and implement strategic initiatives and standardized approaches in Order Management, Demand Planning/Management, Procurement/Sourcing, Materials/Inventory Management and Distribution & Logistics. This position will be leading Customer Service, Production Planning/Scheduling, Strategic & Tactical Purchasing, Warehouse/Materials Management and Logistics. The Supply Chain Director will also be responsible for leading local business processes that cut across full Order-to-Cash framework including Sales, Inventory, Operations & Planning (SIOP) and Source-to-Pay (S2P).
Success for this role is defined by leading a supply chain team that supports the Order to Cash framework. This will be measured by ongoing improvement of delivery, ongoing improvement in working capital, ongoing cost reduction in terms of total cost of ownership and the develop of his/her team.
Direct to BU Operations Leader
Direct reporting of Buyers, Customer Service Representatives, and Warehouse/Distribution team.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
In conjunction with Corporate processes and tools, deploy demand driven supply chain strategy that supports operational excellence and long range plans
Ensure Supply Chain is synchronized to produce maximum efficiencies and lowest cost of operation
Work closely with operations leaders and theirteams to achieve operational objectives in cost, quality, delivery and inventory turnover
Develop and challenge resources to improve performance through systems utilization and process improvements
Lead and improve Order Management best practices, processes and policies that drive perfect order logic including order types/policies, standardized lead times/tiered pricing strategies,available-to-promise (ATP), customer resource management (CRM) and electronic data interchange (EDI)
Lead and improve Demand Planning/Management using a One Number Plan approach & methodology to align financial, operational and material plan
Lead and improve Procurement in the use of the 7 Step Strategic Sourcing process in conjunction with Directors of Category Management or Directors of Strategic Souring
Lead and improve Material/Inventory Management best practices including Plan for Every Part (PFEP), ABC Analysis, Purchasing Methods (PO, Blanket), Warehouse Management (Cycle Count Accuracy, Transactions, Bar Coding, RFID) and Advanced Replenishment Methods (MRP, Stock Program, VMI, Consignment, ROP, Direct Pull)
Lead and improve Distribution & Logistics practices and network optimization including pick, pack & ship (PPS), trade compliance (Import/Export), distribution center management and transportation management
Leads initiative to ensure continuity of supply throughout the operations to achieve uninterrupted supply of quality components and assemblies
Responsible for maintaining scorecard of local suppliers in thekey categories of quality, delivery and Costs
Develop and implement continuous improvement plans or Corrective Actions as needed
Champions standard IDEX Supply Chain/Procurement Tools and methodologies and is a recognized subject matter expert (SME) providing training and certification
Coaches and mentors his/her Supply Chain teams to improve engagement with local technical/commercial stakeholders and to establish communication channels between the cross functional teams.
Provides and facilitates communications/interactions amongst team members, between teams and other areas.Resolves differences and/or conflicts situations effectively.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of B.S. or equivalent in Supply Chain/Sourcing or a relevant engineering, scientific or business discipline.Advanced degree, MS and/or MBA, is preferred.
Experience in Operations, Supply Chain and Continuous Improvement.
A minimum of 5-10 years’ experience.
Experience with, multi-step strategic sourcing processes and category management strategies (AT Kearney 7 Step Process) preferred.
APIC’s or equivalent certification desired.
Basic knowledge of ERP/MRP systems JDE preferred.
Experience in managing and successfully completing complex and expansive projects.
