SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
The Material Handler is responsible for manual and mechanical material movement, work orders, and stocking both manufactured and purchased components as needed. Material Handler will be cross-trained to support other departmental areas as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Manually unloads material from pallets, trays, racks and shelves using safe lifting techniques
Operates fork truck and other material handling equipment per safety policies
Operate company vehicle(s) to deliver or pick up parts at offsite locations
Accurately performs transactions in the inventory system (RfSmart or JDE)
Assist in troubleshoot inventory accuracy issues through utilizing JDE and RfSmart
Fills KAN-BAN on a routine basis to ensure proper quantities parts are readily available
Creates equipment serial number and model number tags
Close out and issue work orders
Build PT Pumps and switch boxes
Cross-train in shipping and receiving duties to provide support as needed
Assist in moving finished goods as needed
Performs other duties as required
Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company
Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description, and supervisor’s instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output
Responsible for keeping own immediate work are in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety to self and co-workers
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED required
Must have adequate computer skills
Forklift Certified
Basic math requirements, including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
Must be able to safely perform single or repeated manual lifts of up to 50 lbs .

Demonstrate good organizational skills and follow-up techniques
Inventory accuracy
Must be able to multitask
Ability to work in a fast pace environment
Must be detail oriented

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
One (1) to two (2) plus years in a manufacturing environment
