Position Summary

In partnership with the wider business, you will support and execute the Company's strategy for the procurement of direct and indirect materials. Negotiate contracts with suppliers, manage inventory, evaluate quality goods, and adhere to budgets. You will develop and build strong commercial relationships with strategic suppliers and drive value for Matcon by proactive management of key suppliers.

Hours of Work

Offering hybrid working, our standard working hours are Monday - Friday 8.30am-4.30pm.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will use your excellent negotiation skills and strategic mindset to identify opportunities to reduce cost, manage and produce quotes, evaluate suppliers as well as source new ones.

In the role you will negotiate Terms & Conditions, prepare contracts to minimise risk and resolve supply difficulties. Being proactive and hands on you’ll work with Operations to deliver solutions while enhancing your existing skillset.

Experience Requirements

• CIPS qualification or working towards

• Experience in a Sourcing role in a B2B Engineering or Manufacturing sector.

• Extensive experience of using an ERP system, either SAP or JDE.

• Strong written, verbal, analytical, communication and presentation skills.
