1st SHIFT 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM MON-FRI

SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

The Industrial Maintenance Technician II is a multi-craft position that performs troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, condition monitoring, repairs on industrial equipment. This position will execute projects that include planning, kitting and execution of work.

REPORTING TO : VSM – Support Services

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Actively participates in EHS programs and adheres to policies and procedures.

  • Demonstrates IDEX values (Team-Trust-Excellence) in all daily actions and interactions.

  • Ability to work in a multi-craft (mechanical, electrical, controls) environment.

  • Proactively resolves electrical, controls and mechanical equipment issues.

  • Aids in the installation and commissioning of equipment upgrades and new installations.

  • Documents their activities in CMMS system as well as through written and verbal communication.

  • Develop work scopes, order parts and schedule their work as necessary.

  • Write maintenance troubleshooting/repair procedures and PMs.

  • Works as part of the BAND-IT IDEX team by interfacing with production, engineering, purchasing and safety resources to execute the business plan.

  • Participate in continuous improvement activities, root-cause analysis, and performance teams to improve processes, efficiency, quality and service.

  • Able to work overtime and weekends as necessary.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the basic requirements satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

  • High School Diploma or GED and 5 years of industrial maintenance experience

OR AAS technical degree and 3 years of multi-craft industrial maintenance experience

  • Skilled multi-craft technician capable of repairing electrical, mechanical, pneumatic & hydraulic equipment and components.

  • Demonstrated troubleshooting abilities using their electrical, mechanical and controls knowledge and skills.

  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, technical instructions, codes, standards and specifications.

  • 2 years of experience working with precision mechanical instruments, including but not limited to: micrometers, dial indicators and precision alignment equipment.

  • 1 year of experience working with industrial automation and controls equipment (PLC, HMI, I/O, etc.)

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

Listed below are the preferred requirements for this position. A candidate may meet one or more of these requirements.

  • AAS Degree in a technical discipline plus 5 yrs. experience as a multi-craft (mechanical, electrical, automation/controls) maintenance technician in a manufacturing environment OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of multi-craft (mechanical, electrical, automation/controls) maintenance experience

  • Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician through SMRP, Certified Lubrication Technician Level 1 through ICML, or similar.

  • 3 years of experience working with HMIs, PLCs and automation software. Rockwell Automation/Allen-Bradley hardware and software preferred.

  • 1 years of experience working with predictive maintenance equipment.

COMPENSATION

  • The estimated compensation for this position is $28.00 - $38.00/hr DOE

  • This position may be eligible for a business unit bonus annually

  • This position is also eligible for our comprehensive U.S. benefit offerings, which include Health benefits, 401(k) retirement savings program with company match, at least 80 hours of vacation, along with holiday, sick and personal time off. Total Rewards

The compensation range for this position is $44,600.00 - $66,800.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.
