The position will provide leadership to the Assembly Value Streams and Shipping teams through continuous improvement and developing the management team while constantly executing with excellence. The Operations Director will develop and implement visual operational processes that continuously improve safety, quality, and delivery and cost metrics The position will support the continued development of a robust process-based continuous improvement program at Banjo. This includes creating a rolling 12-month roadmap of improvement projects, a monthly operating cadence, and regularly executed kaizens in the Assembly Value Streams & Shipping teams while supporting those activities in the broader Operations department.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Set and drive optimal SQDC metrics in the Value Stream & Shipping teams.Ensure proper measures are in place to track short-term and long-term progress.

  • Support and influence a continuous process improvement mindset.

  • Assist team in implementing solutions by utilizing external/internal resources to solve process, tooling, and equipment issues.

  • Deploy implementation of new technologies and processes.

  • Support ERP improvement and implementation towards fully integrated lean system.

  • Review, analyze and drive internal performance measures.Direct corrective actions when necessary.

  • Develop and own budgeting and execution with a focus on volume, product costs, and margins across the Banjo portfolio.

  • Assess, manage and develop a strong, engaged, and effective team.Provide leadership and direction to staff members, ensuring clarity of objectives and coordination of activities.



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing, Business, Engineering and/or Technical discipline required.Advanced Degree preferred, but not a requirement.

  • Must have a comprehensive background in Manufacturing / Operations Management with a proven track record of developing employees.

  • Must have a demonstrated mastery of a variety of Lean and Six Sigma tools (value stream mapping, standard work, 5S, flow, pull, SMED, etc.).

  • Change agent that demonstrates original thinking, generates suggestions, and develops innovative approaches for improving work flow and processes.

  • Proven track record of leading operational initiatives to achieve / exceed business results.

  • Strong ability to use business metrics to drive business results.Ability to design, develop, and implement Lean and Operational roadmaps for an operating business.

  • Demonstrated and experienced leadership and strong verbal communication skills, drive, energy level, and problem-solving abilities are critical.

  • Ability and experience developing, managing and working with teams.

  • Ability to continuously improve Operations, Quality and Customer satisfaction over time.

  • Ability to work across all disciplines and throughout all levels of an organization in a persuasive and credible manner.

  • People-oriented professional; embodies a servant leadership mentality.

  • Previous experience of working within an injection molding manufacturing operation is preferred.
