The Maintenance Technician will maintain all facets of injection molding and print machines including troubleshooting and resolving equipment problems while demonstrating proactive maintenance concepts and best practices.
Follow safety protocol for position
Maintain all facets of injection molding and print machines.
Perform PM's and trouble shot all production equipment proficiently as related to molding, printing and part conveyance and packaging. Includes injection molding, extrusion print lines and automation equipment such as (packer, sorter, conveyors, ultrasonic welders, nozzles, cappers, packaging equipment).
Troubleshoots and resolves equipment problems while demonstrating proactive maintenance concepts and best practices.
Complete/perform PM assignments and documentation as scheduled.
Effectively communicate with Team Leaders and Supervisors regarding safety/quality/production concerns. Perform daily preventative maintenance on equipment in production areas.
Troubleshoot PLC hardware and software issues.
Diagnose, analyze and repair electro-mechanical and instrumentation equipment using meters, gauges and other testing methods.
Apply knowledge in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic devices and principles to install, repair, and/or replace defective equipment.
Assist supervisor in writing and updating standard maintenance procedures and work instructions. Verify accuracy of work instructions in assigned areas and suggest changes to supervisor/team leader.
Prepares work areas to ensure tools needed are available and in proper working order.
Recommends new equipment and modifications to existing equipment
Technical experience troubleshooting injection molding equipment issues with respect to mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, electronic, and pneumatic systems.
Ability to read and analyze hydraulic, electric, and pneumatic blueprints
Ability to use basic metrology tools such as gauge pins, micrometers, tool scope, dial indicators, calipers, bore gauges, etc.
Able to order parts in parts procurement program
Must be able to work independently and follow directions.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
Ability to make sound decisions.
Must be able to adhere to the IDEX Module.
Must be able to lift at minimum 50 pounds.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
Must have good attendance.
Must have good attitude and be a team player.
Must be willing to work overtime.
Must have basic computer skills
Must be able to comprehend simple and moderately complex instructions.
