DIRECTOR SUPPLY CHAIN

As Director Supply Chain , you will be responsible for procurement, supply chain, inventory, planning, forecasting (SIOP), and product distribution. Will use demand management process to ensure inventory, inventory turns, and product availability commitments are met. Understand demand driven supply chain (pull & replenish). Provide leadership and direction for continuous improvement in quality, customer delivery and cost performance. Essential to this position is your ability to lead improvements in primary working capital performance, product and raw material costs while maintaining or increasing quality and delivery. Will implement Value Stream methodologies and maintain an attitude of continuous improvement. Extensive use of Kanban/Pull Systems, Kaizen, Six Sigma, 5S, Standard work and other lean manufacturing tools is essential. Your proven ability to evaluate vendors and negotiate contracts will be essential as our volume grows and we look to consolidate suppliers and leverage other IDEX units and their supply chains. Success will be measured by ongoing improvement of delivery, inventory turns, cost

reduction, and ability to implement scalability to our long-term supply chain strategy.

Qualifications:

Key Skills/Education include:

Import/Export compliance, Materials Management background,

B.S. degree in Business or related field with extensive coursework in Materials/Operations Management or equivalent work experience.

Detailed knowledge of ERP/MRP software/systems is needed, and experience with JDE is a plus.

Strong knowledge of MRP, CRP and MPS.

Experience with lean tools such as VSM, Kanban, material flow, supermarkets

Successful leadership to transform an organization to Kanban material replenishment is required. Understanding of production flow principles and manufacturing processes NAPM or APICS certification/involvement desired.

Materials Management/Purchasing seminars desired.

Write legibly, read, understand, and speak English fluently.

Ability to move easily through a multiple door single-floor environment. Occasional stooping, lifting up to 15 lbs. (checking parts).

Ability to handle a full workload in a fast-paced environment. Must be assertive when dealing with suppliers. Possess good business math ability. Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Seven years+ Materials Management/Sourcing/Logistics experience, with five years+ at the manager level is required.

Global procurement experience a plus.
